Ian Marriner has a Law Degree in addition to Post Graduate Diplomas in Environmental Health, Occupational Health and
Safety, Acoustics and Management. He also holds a number of other certificates confirming competency in various technical
disciplines and quality assurance.
Ian has approximately 15 years experience managing Environmental Health technical teams and for the last 10 years has
managed the whole Environmental Health service area at a district authority. The service encompassed the traditional
areas of food safety, occupational health, pest control, public health and pollution control, but also included licensing,
enforcement, street wardens, cemeteries and a crematorium.
Ian is familiar with quality systems as one of his previous services was accredited to ISO 9001 (2000) for a number
of years and the whole Environmental Health service was a Charter Mark holder for the last 6 years.
